“You have been born anew...”
1 Peter 1:23

What a marvelous creation we are! Here are just a few examples.

†   The human heart beats approximately 100,000 times a day, propelling blood through 60,000
miles of vessels. That’s a distance of over two times around the world.

†   Blood may travel at speeds up to 10 miles per hour.

†   The work the heart does during the day is about equal to the energy expended by a man climbing to the top of a mountain 3,600 feet high.

†   In the process of breathing, we lose up to two cups of liquid every day by exhaling.

†   The body manufactures an estimated three billion cells per minute.

Wow! The body is busy just being! Treat it kindly with proper nutrition, hydration, exercise and rest. And with the days getting longer, don’t forget the sun screen.

The Alzheimer’s Association has a 24-hour helpline, 800-272-3900.

The Area Agency on Aging can provide resources as well. That helpline is 602/264-2255.

Interfaith Community Care provides assistance and resources. That number is 623/584-4999.

There are many excellent websites as well. Here are just a few:
caregiving.org
familycaregiving101.org
caregiver.com

I encourage you to let me know if I can help provide additional resources.
