Spring Fashion Show
One of the all-time favorite WELCA programs is the Spring
Fashion Show which will be held in the Social Hall on Wednesday, April
16. Mark your calendars now. Everyone is invited. This is an excellent
time to bring friends and neighbors to enjoy the afternoon. The party
will begin with a luncheon at 12 noon followed by the Fashion Show.
This unique Fashion Show will feature clothing from
the Lutheran Thrift Store, modeled by eight WELCA members. You will
be amazed at the“brand new” look of the clothing and in
the past people have stood in line to purchase the clothing featured
in the Fashion Show.
Fashion Show coordinator and commentator Lanie Danker
has assisted the models in the selection of the garments and works
diligently to make sure there is a variety of clothing to fit everyone’s
desires and style preferences. It will be a gala event you will not
want to miss!
Lanie asks for your participation in supporting the
Lutheran Thrift Store by bringing an item to donate to this cause.
It can be clothing, household goods, white goods or anything that is
in good repair and can be sold at the Thrift Store.
Reservations are necessary and can be made between services
on Sundays in March or April or weekdays in the church office. Tickets
will sell for approximately $6.50. Watch the weekend bulletins for
more information.

Memorial Receptions
Memorial receptions are a service provided by WELCA
and circles are asked to assist. Margaret Johnson has graciously accepted
the responsibiltiy of chairperson for the receptions. This is such
an important function of WELCA and we want it to be very special to
family members.
Circles are asked to set up for the reception as well
as provide bars and cookies and clean up when it is over. Sometimes
the family wishes for additional food which is ordered. The circle
members are responsible for serving the reception.
Margaret will work with circles and oversee the reception.
Circles are called on a rotation basis. Please let Margaret know in
advance if your circle needs additional help. Some circles are small
in number and may need more workers. Thanks to Margaret and circle
members for their dedication and help in making the receptions a comforting
time for the family.
Least Coin Offering
There is a question as to when the Least Coin Offering
should be turned into the treasurer. While this can be turned in any
time during the year, we would like to have it collected at each meeting
during the year and turned in after the April meeting.
The Least Coin Offering is an offering received by women’s
groups around the world and many of our circles participate in this
worthy cause. Each woman if asked to give the smallest — or LEAST — coin
of her country, thus every woman can easily participate in this offering
which is used to meet various needs around the world.
Please convert the coins to currency or a check and
turn it in with your April circle report.
